Andrej Ciho
Andrej was born in former Czechoslovakia. He experienced Jesus’ forgiveness and transformation at age 14 and committed his life to Him. God has been stirring in Andrej’s heart ever since.
In high school Andrej led a prayer group, ministered to his classmates and younger at-risk youth, lead worship at youth group and served in orphanages every summer.
Jessica Ciho
Jessica grew up in rural South Carolina in a town called Starr. In college she got involved in youth ministry and after a short term mission trip to Slovakia she knew God was calling her to serve Him in this country as an English teacher.
We met in 2000 when we started working for the same youth ministry in Zilina, Slovakia. We married in 2003 and moved to Grand Rapids, MI for Andrej to finish his college education.
Turning Point
In February 2009, after much time spent in prayer and conversation with friends and family we reached a conclusion that to be obedient to God’s calling, we must move to South Atlanta. We loaded up all our possessions in Grand Rapids, MI and set out for Atlanta, GA to roll up our sleeves and join neighbors in working to strengthen the spiritual, social and economic vitality of the community.
